The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The winter dunes, on the outer Cape, are truly beautiful. Their colors are rich in various shades of brown and gold with white snow sprinkled in their crevices. The day was cold, the sky a lavender purple, when I took the photo for this oil painting. Framed in a traditional goldish brown with a beige linen inner liner.
